Obama beats Trump by double-digit margin in hypothetical election poll

  • Obama demonstrated strong support among Hispanic, Black, and Independent voters in the hypothetical matchup.
  • Trump has repeatedly mused over the possibility of a third presidential term, despite being barred by the 22nd Amendment of the Constitution – which prohibits anyone from being elected president more than twice.
  • While Obama comfortably beat Trump, the poll indicated Trump would narrowly defeat other potential Democratic challengers such as Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden in hypothetical matchups.
