Members of England’s Euro 2025-winning squad were at Wembley on Wednesday to watch Oasis — and were given a shout out by Liam Gallagher in recognition of their recent success.

Before the band played Roll With It from 1995’s (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, Liam announced to the 90,000 crowd that the Lionesses were in the stadium.

Oasis have played three nights at Wembley so far on the Live 2025 tour, ahead of two further shows this weekend and more to come in September. At Friday’s opening night of the run, a number of songs were introduced with dedications. Ozzy Osbourne was shown on screen during Live Forever and Liam paid tribute with Rock ‘n’ Roll Star, while Noel spoke of the tragedy of his favourite London bar Chiltern Firehouse burning down earlier year.

Arsenal forward Alessia Russo, who scored England’s equaliser in the final against Spain, was pictured meeting Noel’s daughter Anaïs Gallagher.

Another icon of the 90s Britpop music scene, Geri Horner, shared a photo to Instagram as the Spice Girl met penalty shootout heroes Alex Greenwood and goalkeeper Hannah Hampton, along with Russo in the band’s signature Adidas official merchandise.

Greenwood shared footage in her Instagram story of Oasis playing Don’t Look Back In Anger during the encore.

On Friday, Davina McCall, Fearne Cotton, and Rylan Clark were seen in VIP boxes. Meanwhile, on Saturday, Tom Cruise brought along his rumoured girlfriend Ana de Armas, actress Sienna Miller and DJ Goldie, as reported in Londoner’s Diary.
