O2 mobile network issues affecting Glasgow as users can't make phone calls

O2 are currently investigating network issues which are preventing customers making phone calls.

The issue, which is affecting users in Glasgow and across the UK, first appeared shortly after 9.30am according to downdetector.co.uk.

O2 confirmed there is currently a problem with the network, Tweeting out: "Our technical teams are investigating reports of issues when some customers are using voice services in parts of the UK.

O2 are currently working to fix the issue (O2)

"We're sorry for any inconvenience."

And the issue has impacted on those using the O2 network in Glasgow, with one social media user Tweeting to the mobile provider: "Hello I can't make or receive calls in Glasgow area. My mother can't either."
