NY woman dates a guy for 6 months. 3 years later, his lawyer tells her to attend hearing of his will

A TikTok creator went viral after posting that a man she dated for six months had left her something in his will. What was perhaps even more unique about her story was that the New York native apparently hadn’t dated him recently — she says the two were together three years ago. Now, people are weighing in, and one user on the platform even wrote, “inherit some debt queen.”

Noelle, who uses the username @noelll_officesiren, runs an account that focuses on office wear, humor about co-workers and the general absurdities of clocking into an office every week. However, this time she posted a TikTok saying that she had just received a letter from her ex-boyfriend’s lawyer and had been invited to the hearing for his will reading. She was expecting something to be left to her, and people were very confused — because that’s certainly not something you hear every day.

One user wrote, “I was just telling a friend about how I’m now on the wills / life insurance of 4 men. Idk how I did it, y’all. I guess that’s the one perk of antisocial jerks being in love with you but hating you because they hate themselves and then absolving their guilt in this way??”

They were considering marriage

So, this is clearly something that happens, but a lot of the comments were simply asking her to give more information about how she ended up in this situation. Noelle indulged the 2.3 million people who had suddenly become interested in her personal life and gave them three follow-up posts.

In the first post, she delved a little deeper into this ex and what she stood to gain had she stayed with him. In her caption, she clarified that the man died at 45 and that, during their six months together, they were apparently considering marriage.

She then shared what she would have stood to gain had the marriage come to be. Noelle wrote that she would have inherited more than four properties, a collection of valuable vintage watches, millions in life insurance and a very expensive engagement ring. Noelle said she was an idiot to have passed all of that up, but she still received a healthy check from his will.

The second post was a handwritten message from her ex in which he told her that he just wanted her to travel and be the best she could be, adding that she was always deserving of a life much more fulfilling than a 9-to-5.

He was worried he wouldn’t leave his memory to anyone

In the final post, she showed her followers screenshots of all the affirmations he had been sending her throughout the years. He told her how much she deserved freedom and security, but their relationship just never materialized. Perhaps she thought she had more time, or perhaps life just works out that way.

In the screenshots, it’s apparent that he knew his health was waning and was giving her hints. In one message, he told her that she should marry him because, since he didn’t have a former wife or children, he was worried that he wouldn’t leave his memory to anyone.
