The number of people pinged to self isolate by the NHS Covid app slumped by nearly 20% in the first week of August, new figures have shown.
Some 317,132 alerts were sent out in England and Wales in the week to August 4, compared to 395,971 the previous week.
It also marks a massive fall from the week to July 21, when a record 689,313 people were told to isolate by the app.
Health Secretary Sajid Javid caved to pressure over the so-called pingdemic earlier this month by announcing the app's sensitivity would be tweaked to reduce the numbers of people being told to isolate.
From August 2, the app checked contacts for two days before a positive test for asymptomatic people, rather than going back five days.

The U-turn came after the Government refused to update the app in the face of an outcry over staff shortages and empty shelves as large numbers of people were forced into isolation.
Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak were both in isolation on July 19 after coming into contact with Mr Javid who later tested positive for Covid-19.
It comes as new Test and Trace figures revealed positive cases had fallen by 5% - the second consecutive week that infections have fallen.
A total of 179,748 people tested positive for Covid-19 in England at least once in the week to August 4.
Fewer people got tested during this period, as the number of tests carried out dropped by 8% on the previous week.
Of the 161,719 people transferred to the Test and Trace system, 13.5% were not reached and therefore could not be asked to provide details of recent close contacts.
This is up slightly from 13.3% the previous week but down from 14.4% in the week to July 21.
Some 86.2% were reached in the latest week, while 0.3% did not provide any communication details.
It comes as the Government confirmed plans to exempt fully jabbed Brits from self isolating if they come into contact with a Covid case.
From Monday, people in England who have had both doses of a Covid-19 vaccine will no longer have to spend 10 days in quarantine.
And they will not even have to take a PCR test unless they get symptoms - but it is advised.
Contacts will also be advised to wear a mask and reduce interactions with others under the new guidance.
