A Sydney police inspector has been found not guilty of raping a woman in his home after she cut short a date and began putting her boots back on.
Bryan Vincent Jackson, 52, agreed the episode of oral sex occurred in his Haberfield home in September 2018 but argued the woman consented.
The NSW District Court jury on Wednesday found Mr Jackson not guilty of having sexual intercourse without consent.
The Crown alleged Mr Jackson and the woman had been consensually kissing on his lounge when she received phone calls about her mother and went to leave to deal with the issue.
He was accused of then grabbing her and forcing her to perform oral sex on him.
But his barrister submitted that his client had no reasonable grounds for believing the woman was not consenting.
