NSW:Man who drove car at officers, cop station faces court

A man accused of driving his car at a number of police officers and ramming the local station is set to face court.

In Mudgee, in NSW's central west, the 67-year-old man allegedly drove his ute at officers who were on foot patrol and fled when they tried to stop him.

Shortly after, the same man was accused of driving at an officer exiting the Mudgee police station before smashing into the front foyer.

No one was injured in either incident.

The man was charged with damaging property with intent to endanger life, two counts of using an offensive weapon, not stopping in a police pursuit, reckless driving and having a knife in a public place.

He is set to face a Bail Division court on Saturday morning.
