Nottingham Forest sent Emmanuel Dennis message as forward returns to training

Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis has returned to training ahead of the Reds' crunch Premier League clash against Arsenal.

Steve Cooper's side will take a huge step towards securing their top-flight status for another season with a result at the City Ground on Saturday evening. The Reds are three points clear of the relegation zone with just two games left.

Forest will be confident going into their clash with the Gunners having won their last two home matches, a 3-1 win over Brighton and a 4-3 victory against Southampton.

And ahead of the match against Mikel Arteta's team, Forest look to have Dennis back in contention for a place in their team. The Nigerian has scored twice since arriving at the City Ground from Watford last summer.

However Brazilian Gustavo Scarpa looks set to miss the rest of the campaign after picking up a recurrence of his calf injury according to Reds boss Cooper.

Here's what Forest fans had to say on social media about the latest injury news for their team...

Peter Plackett: Dennis I’m not so bothered about, but Scarpa I wish him a speedy recovery… he will be good for us.

Andrew Savage: Dennis? I wouldn't pick him if he was super fit.

Rich Watson: If he is fit still do not play him.

Danny Barnsley: Dennis cannot come back and jump in the squad, we’ve found a team that’s starting to gel well. Don’t try fixing something that isn’t broken.

Al Martin: Dennis may look good in training but his prowess in an actual match would suggest otherwise.

Alex Murdoch: If Dennis gets anywhere near the pitch I will stop watching. Baffled by this one.

Sally-ann Lindley: Don't change too much.

Gray Salt: Never looked good.
