Nottingham Forest are ‘set to’ decide whether or not to make a second bid for left-back Alex Moreno, according to reports.
The Reds have been one of the most active sides in the transfer market this summer as Steve Cooper looks to transform his squad ahead of the Premier League season. Forest kick off their campaign in just under two weeks when they travel to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle.
At least 11 new players will have come into the club ahead of that game, but it seems Forest are not yet done in adding to their squad. They continue to be linked with a number of players.

One of those is Real Betis defender Moreno, who is the subject of interest from Forest. Reports say the Reds failed with an opening bid for the player, with Betis are said to be holding out for a fee of around €20 million (£17m) for the player.
It was said at the weekend that Forest are ‘working on’ a deal for the player, who has three years left on his current contract. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now given the latest on a potential transfer.
“After Orel Mangala deal, Nottingham Forest are set to decide internally whether to make a new proposal to Real Betis for Alex Moreno after first bid turned down,” he wrote on Twitter. “Personal terms agreed weeks ago but still no agreement between clubs.”
The 29-year-old played 45 times in all competitions last season, scoring five goals and providing five assists in La Liga. But the Reds will have to up their bid should they wish to bring him to England this summer.
Forest have already added to their left-back options in Omar Richards, who joined from Bayern Munich. But it seems that Cooper is on the lookout for more reinforcements this window.
