Nottingham Forest had bid rejected for Rangers goalkeeper - report

Nottingham Forest reportedly had a bid turned down for Rangers goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

The Daily Mail report that, in the past year, Forest and their Championship rivals West Bromwich Albion had a bid worth £1.5m rejected.

Foderingham is said to be a target for MLS outfit D.C. United, with the 28-year-old's contract at Ibrox up at the end of the season.

The report adds that British sides are 'monitoring' Foderingham - but a move for the former Swindon Town man is highly unlikely given Forest have four goalkeepers in Aro Muric, Jordan Smith, Costel Pantilimon and Brice Samba - Sabri Lamouchi's number one - on their books.

Foderingham began his career at Fulham, but left for Crystal Palace before joining Swindon where he made 152 appearances.

He joined Rangers in 2015, helping them to promotion back to the Scottish Premiership.
