Nottingham Forest flop living 'very nice dream' after City Ground nightmare

Former Nottingham Forest defender Loic Bade says he is now living a "very nice dream" at Sevilla after a difficult spell at the City Ground.

Bade joined Forest on loan from Rennes last summer, but failed to make a single appearance before his temporary move was terminated in January. He then joined La Liga side Sevilla on a permanent basis, and his new team have now reached the Europa League final.

They will face AS Roma for the trophy, and Bade has spoken about how his life has changed for the better since giving up Nottingham for Seville. He also said he had to "put up with" things that have happened to him in his career.

Speaking about the Europa League final, he told Marca : “It’s a dream. A very nice dream because my season, when I started with Rennes and Nottingham Forest, was very tough. It has been a very difficult year for me, but now I try to play as many games as possible, playing the best possible game that I can give.

"We have a final. We can win the Europa League again for this club that loves it so much. It’s something very beautiful in a season that is already special. For all. A year where I have had to learn."

When asked if moving to Sevilla has changed his life, Badé added: “Yes, of course. That is why it is a very special season. It’s football, that’s how this sport is.

“Sometimes it is hard and we have to work, put up with the things that can happen to us and keep looking forward. When we have an opportunity, we have to go for it. Don’t waste it. Sevilla gave me the opportunity and here I am right now enjoying it."
