Nottingham Forest boss Sabri Lamouchi has been crowned Championship Manager of the Month for January.
But there was no double celebration for the Reds as winger Joe Lolley missed out on the equivalent player award.
Lamouchi took the trophy on the back of a fantastic month in which his side went unbeaten in the league and climbed up to third in the table.
After a dip in form during December, Forest bounced back in style.
Last month, they picked up wins against Blackburn Rovers (3-2), Luton Town (3-1) and Brentford (1-0), and twice drew 1-1 with Reading, to put them right in the promotion mix.
That run saw Lamouchi take the honour ahead of Derby County’s Phillip Cocu, Lee Johnson of Bristol City and Stoke City chief Michael O’Neill.
It is the second time this season the Frenchman has claimed the title, having also been Manager of the Month in September.
Lolley lost out for the player award to Nahki Wells, who had been on loan at QPR from Burnley and was linked with a move to the City Ground before opting to join Bristol City in the winter transfer window.
Forest fans, though, will be hoping the famed ‘Manager of the Month curse’ doesn’t strike their head coach tomorrow as the team take on Leeds United in a crunch clash at the City Ground.
