Notre Dame football adds home-and-home with Arkansas

There's a first time for everything.

This first time is scheduled for Sept. 12, 2020, in South Bend, Ind., where Notre Dame will meet Arkansas on a football field.

The Razorbacks are one of four SEC teams the Irish have never faced. Notre Dame will return the favor by playing in Fayetteville, Ark., on Oct. 4, 2025.

"This two-game series will provide our program with another opportunity to play a top-caliber foe from the Southeastern Conference," Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly told und.com.

The Irish also have never met Auburn, Kentucky or Mississippi State, but have home-and-homes scheduled with SEC teams Georgia (2017, 2019) and Texas A&M (2024, 2025).

Notre Dame begins this season Sept. 2 at home against Temple.
