Not just cats that get stuck! Dublin Fire Brigade rescue 12-year-old stuck in cherry picker

Dublin Fire Brigade came to the rescue last night after a devious 12-year-old became stuck on a cherry picker he had climbed up earlier in the evening.

The firefighters are often called to strange situations, and this was no exception, although the job was somewhat lighter than usual, as thankfully only a ladder was needed for the youth to get down.

DFB took to Twitter to confirm the child had been rescued, and was unharmed after.

(DFB Twitter)

They said: "Last night, a crew from North Strand Fire Station rescued a 12 year old who climbed in to cherry picker but was unable to climb down.

"A short extension ladder was used to access the child. #NotJustCatsGetStuck."

Thankfully it was a happy ending for all involved!
