Northern Ireland weather forecast: Warm temperatures forecast for Friday

It is set to be a warm and sunny afternoon in Northern Ireland today.

Some very warm sunshine is developing, with the maximum temperature set to be 25C.

A yellow thunderstorm warning for parts of Northern Ireland was in place from 1am last night to 11am today, Thursday August 13.

Weather forecast for Belfast for the next few days (Met Office)

The Met Office say it will be a sunny evening then staying dry with clear spells overnight. A few mist and fog patches will develop late in the night with a minimum temperature of 13C.

On Friday, mist or fog patches will burn off in the morning to leave a dry and sunny day. It's to feel very warm once again with mainly light winds and a maximum temperature of 25C.

It will be a cloudy start to Saturday but is set to brighten up. It's to be cloudier with a few showers on Sunday and Monday.
