On Saturday and Sunday, the Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain, with Saturday's downpours affecting western regions of Northern Ireland.

Areas around Derry and Strabane reported flooding, with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service confirming they received 106 emergency 999 calls due to flooding in six hours on Saturday night into Sunday morning.
