Northern Ireland traffic: PSNI say Co Down road now reopened after earlier crash

Police say a Co Down road has now reopened after an earlier crash.

Officers advised motorists earlier on Saturday that the Drumaness Road near Ballynahinch town was closed after a two car road traffic collision.

A spokesperson updated the appeal and said: "Motorists are advised that the Drumaness Road, Ballynahinch has now reopened following a two vehicle road traffic collision this afternoon."

Meanwhile, drivers are being warned of delays as 20 bands are expected to take part in a parade in East Belfast.

The East Belfast Memorial Parade is scheduled to take place on Saturday evening, June 12, in the east of the city.

According to the Parades Commissions website, 20 bands are set to take part and there are expected to be 800 participants.

Police have said traffic may be disrupted and asked drivers to avoid the route between 7pm and 9pm.
