North Wales shop parades with Tesco store sells at auction

Two North Wales shop parades that include a Tesco store have sold at auction.

The rows of shops in Connah's Quay were on the market with Allsop for offers over £1.85m.

They included 13 shops and nine flats on the High Street with Tesco on a 15 year lease on one of the rows.

At auction, bidding went beyond the guide price with the gavel coming down at £2.06m .

Mark Gower, from Allsop, said: "We were very pleased with the price achieved for Lot 17 Connahs Quay and the result of the whole auction, which raised over £65m for our clients and is our highest on the day result since we went online at the start of the pandemic.

"Continued confidence and liquidity in the retail sector saw £53m of retail property sell, and geographically over 50% of the total raised (£35m) was sold outside London/South East.

"If anyone would like to know more about the sale or is interested in offering a property in our next sale on 23rd September please do not hesitate to get in touch."
