North Wales dog attack: Child airlifted to hospital with serious injuries

A child had to be airlifted to hospital following a dog attack at a home in North Wales.

It happened at a home in the village of Mynydd Isa near Mold at around 4.30pm.

The victim was airlifted to the specialist children's hospital at Alder Hey in Liverpool.

Police are investigating, North Wales Live reports .

A spokesman said: "North Wales Police and the Air Ambulance were called to a property at Mynydd Isa around 4.45pm following an incident involving a dog attack.

The child was taken to Alder Hey Hospital in Liverpool (Liverpool Echo)

"Police are carrying out house to house enquiries in the area."

A Welsh Ambulance Service (WAS) spokeswoman said: "We were called at 4.30pm and a casualty was airlifted to Alder Hey Hospital."

No details have been released about the extent of the child's injuries.

It is also not known how old the child is, and the type of dog involved in the attack.
