North Staffordshire tech firm tells staff they can work from home 'forever'

Staff at a technology business have been told they can work from home ‘forever’ should they wish to do so.

My Clever Group CEO Gareth Mobley has told employees at the Festival Park-based business that they can continue to work from home indefinitely, after proving they can make it work throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

Staff have been working from their respective homes since March 10 – and prior to that were allowed to work from home for two days a week if they wished.

But now they have been told they can work remotely for the forseeable future.

Gareth said: “We focus on attracting only the best and most uncompromising talent, and a person’s geographical location should not be a prohibiting factor.

“To attract the best talent we continue to build on our many employee benefits, now including remote working, and strategically it’s paying off.

“Prior to Covid-19 we offered employees flexible working, allowing them to work from home two days per week.

“This meant that we were uniquely positioned to respond quickly and allow the team to work from home throughout the pandemic.

“The past few months have proven we can make it work permanently.”

Gareth added: “We believe enabling remote working is a further commitment to supporting our employees wellbeing and provides the flexibility required in the modern world of work.

"Our award-winning team of now 50 brilliant people, have enjoyed the many benefits of working remotely, productivity has remained and the team continue to grow and learn, despite the challenges the world is facing right now.

“So, if our employees are in a role and situation that enables them to work from home and they want to continue to do so forever, we will make that happen.”
