North East weather: Met Office forecasts a sunny Good Friday and Holy Saturday

The North East is in for a bright and sunny start to the Easter weekend as Thursday's evening showers are set to clear up to give way to some fine spring weather.

According to the latest forecast from the Met Office, Good Friday will be dry with plenty of sunshine for most of the region, with some cloud possible along the coast. Get out and enjoy the sunny spells while you can, as by the evening cloud will become more widespread and risks bringing some light showers.
