North East weather: Hour-by-hour forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday according to the Met Office

Warm weather and sun will continue into Tuesday though the skies will not be quite so clear as Monday's.

The Met Office predicts that Tuesday, August 9 will be a largely sunny day with some cloud cover across the North East, with temperatures reaching 24°C by the afternoon. It will be a dry day too, with chance of precipitation remaining less than 5% for the entire day.

The rest of the week is also looking good, with more sun and a clear night expected on Wednesday. The official forecasters at the Met Office said: "Any fog quickly clearing to leave a dry and largely sunny day, although this becoming hazy at times due to thin layers of high cloud. Feeling warm with light winds. Maximum temperature 25 °C."
