A North Carolina house cleaner, Chelsea Carter, won over $626,000 on an online lottery game.
The 40-year-old from Ocean Isle Beach secured the jackpot on her birthday after placing a $10 bet on the Monopoly Digital Instants game.
Carter described the win as a “blessing”, highlighting that “everyday people can win something like this”.
The Monopoly Digital Instants game has odds of one in 50,000,000 for winning the jackpot.
The North Carolina Education Lottery, established in 2005, allocates its net profits to fund education initiatives across the state.
