Noel McGrath has been named Tipperary hurling skipper for 2023 with Seamus Callanan and Patrick ‘Bonner’ Maher both part of Liam Cahill’s squad for next season.
Cahill has named last year’s captain Ronan Maher as his vice-captain.
Three-time All-Ireland winner McGrath (31) is going into his 15th season with Tipp and has made 135 League and Championship appearances since making his debut back in 2009.

Callanan (34) and ‘Bonner’ Maher (33) were both hit with injuries this year and were unavailable to former boss Colm Bonnar.
Cahill has named a 40 man pre league squad with 25 clubs represented.
The former Waterford boss has also stressed that a number of injured players have not been included, but will be monitored over the coming weeks.
Jerome Cahill, who recently impressed in helping Kilruane McDonaghs to a first Tipperary title in 37 years is not named after hinting the commitment levels may be too much.
