'Nobody can stop' Rangers claims Richard Foster as he pinpoints Ibrox stat that will worry Celtic

Richard Foster insists there's nobody in the league capable of stopping Rangers in the title race.

The former Ibrox defender has been blown away by the form shown by his old side and reckons they're the team to beat in the Premiership this season.

Now playing at Partick Thistle, Foster has been watching on as Rangers race into an 11 point lead at the top of the table against Celtic.

And he insists that, right now, there's no way for Celtic to get back into it unless they drastically improve on their performances.

When asked about the title race on Sky Sports, he said: "At the moment, no one can stop them."

Foster has been in shock at how bad the Hoops have been defensively and reckons that is the biggest difference between them and their Old Firm rivals.

Rangers have conceded just three goals in the league all season while the Hoops have let 13 in.

Steven Gerrard's men have kept clean sheets in 13 of their 15 Premiership matches so far this season and Foster believes Celtic will be concerned by that stat.

He added: "Celtic need to vastly improve, the performance they put in the last old firm was nowhere near good enough.

"The goals they give away are really really poor and it's not something you associate with Celtic. When you flip that and look at the team behind us, and look at how great they’ve been defensively, it must be a real worry for Celtic."
