Nobel Prize winner and former Stormont first minister David Trimble has died aged 77.
Announcing the death of Mr Trimble, the Ulster Unionist Party said: "It is with great sadness that the family of Lord Trimble announce that he passed away peacefully earlier today following a short illness".
Mr Trimble and John Hume of the SDLP were the main movers behind the 1998 Good Friday Agreement.

Since 2006, he sat in the House of Lords as Baron Trimble of Lisnagarvey.
He was the first person to serve in the role of first minister.
Current UUP leader Doug Beattie described Lord Trimble as a "political giant".
In a tweet, he said: "A political giant, a courageous politician, a staunch unionist and a friend."
