PUDUCHERRY: The Union territory of Puducherry was coronavirus-free for a second straight day with nil active cases and no fresh infections being reported from any of its four regions in the last 24 hours, a senior health official said on Friday.
As many as 200 samples were tested during the last 24 hours ending 10am on Friday and no new infection was detected, said director of health G Sriramulu.
There were no active cases in the union territory, he added.
The test positivity rate was zero while the fatality and recovery rates remained 1.2% and 98.8% respectively. The death toll stood at 1,962.
