Nissan India has launched the all-new Nissan Tekton SUV in India at a starting price of Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the same platform as the Renault Duster, the new Tekton is manufactured at Renault's facility in Tamil Nadu. Bookings are now open for a token amount of Rs 21,000, while customer deliveries will begin on July 20.

The Nissan Tekton will rival popular mid-size SUVs such as the Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Victoris and Volkswagen Taigun.

Nissan Tekton price, variants

The new Nissan Tekton is available in six variants – Visia, Visia Plus, Acenta, N-Connecta, Tekna and Tekna Plus. Prices range from Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 18.59 lakh (ex-showroom).

Nissan Tekton engine options

The SUV is offered with two turbo-petrol engine options:

  • 1.0-litre, three-cylinder turbo-petrol: Produces 100 hp and 166 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
  • 1.3-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol: Delivers 163 hp and 280 Nm of torque, available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT) transmission.
