Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman has paid tribute to a Northumberland woman who tragically passed away.
The 55-year-old starred in the film The Railway Man in 2013 alongside Colin Firth. The film is about Berwick's Eric Lomax who survived a prisoner of war camp and lived near Holy Island.
Firth played Eric, while Kidman played his wife Patti and were regularly spotted in Lindisfarne during filming as well as Alnwick for other movie scenes. Sadly, Patti passed away on Tuesday in Tweedmouth, Berwick, aged 85.

And paying tribute to her, Kidman posted a sweet tribute on her Instagram page along with pictures of the pair together when she was filming in Northumberland. The Australian actress wrote: "RIP Patti Lomax. She was all heart and soul."
Eric Lomax, who died in 2012, aged 93, was beaten, starved and tortured as a prisoner of the Japanese on the Thailand-Burma railway. The Railway Man explored the post-war friendship between Mr Lomax and his captor and interpreter Takashi Nagase.
Patti also played a huge role in helping Eric overcome the demons that tormented him after the war.
