Nicola Sturgeon has announced that seven Scots have died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours.
The First Minister gave the update today in the Scottish Parliament.
Figures released today reveal 495 new cases of the virus have been identified overnight, one year on since Scotland went into lockdown.
The latest figures mean that, since the start of the pandemic, 7,559 people have lost their lives to coronavirus in Scotland.
The statistics also reveal a total of 341 people are being treated in hospital, with 28 in ICU.
Some 2,214,672 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 235,671 have received their second dose.
The news comes as Scotland fell silent at noon today to remember all those who have died since the outbreak of the pandemic a year ago.
The true figure of deaths related to the disease is thought to be far higher, with the most recent National Record of Scotland statistics for confirmed and suspected deaths sitting at 9,831.

Tonight, some of Scotland’s most iconic buildings will be bathed in yellow light in remembrance – including the Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh; the Kelpies, near Falkirk; and the Wallace Monument, near Stirling.
As well as the silence at noon, people across Scotland have been asked to stand outside with a light – a candle, a torch or a phone – at 8pm to remember those who died and to show their support to people who are going through a bereavement.
Alternatively, you can shine a light from your window.
