Nicola Sturgeon has announced two coronavirus deaths and 992 new cases in Scotland overnight, the highest cases since February.
The latest figures were given by the First Minister today as restrictions are set to ease across parts of the country.
A total of 116 people are currently being treated in hospital with eight receiving intensive care treatment
The latest figures bring the total number of confirmed cases to 238,893 since the start of the global outbreak last year.
OF the new cases today 304 are in Greater Glasgow and Clyde, 213 in Lothians, and 144 in Tayside.
To date 7,676 people have sadly lost their lives to the virus.
Meanwhile, 3,326,005 people have now received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine with 2,170,570 having had second jags.
The Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine has been approved for use for 12 to 15-year-olds, the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency has announced.
The MHRA said the decision follows a "rigorous review" of safety and effectiveness in that age group.
The news comes as a health expert urged the Scottish Government to rethink its plan not to test people attending the Euro fans zone in Glasgow.
Around 6,000 football fans will descend on a fan zone in Glasgow Green throughout the 31-day tournament which kicks off next week on June 11.
There are no plans at present to ask people attending the venue to take a coronavirus test however Dr Christine Tait-Burkard, an expert on infection from the University of Edinburgh, wants the government to reverse that decision.
