Nicola Peltz has responded to claims that she is “controlling” husband Brooklyn Beckham amid an ongoing feud with his family.
The Transformers actress, 30, appeared to subtly push back by liking a fan comment on Instagram that defended her against mounting criticism. This followed a post about her and her 26-year-old aspiring chef husband attending her father Nelson’s 83rd birthday, while previously snubbing four lavish celebrations thrown for Brooklyn’s father David Beckham’s 50th birthday in May.
The fan’s comment read: “The fact people are in this comment section talking bs about someone controlling a GROWN man is absurd. The guy is an adult and can make his own decisions. Leave them be and stop blaming women for everything.”
Peltz’s like was seen by many as a quiet rebuttal to accusations that she is isolating Brooklyn from his family.
While neither side has publicly confirmed a rift, rumours first emerged following Brooklyn and Peltz’s extravagant £3 million wedding in Palm Beach in 2022, with reports suggesting that former Spice Girl turned fashion designer Victoria, 51, felt sidelined during the planning.
Though there was a brief show of unity at Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week show last year, the relationship between the families appears to have worsened.
Now living in Los Angeles, Brooklyn and Peltz frequently share affectionate posts from their home but have had little public engagement with the Beckham family in recent months.
Things are said to have got so bad that Brooklyn has reportedly cut contact entirely with his parents and siblings Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13, leaving the once tight knit family fractured.

Photos from Nelson Peltz’s birthday were shared on Instagram by Peltz, who described herself as “so lucky” to be his daughter and praised his “constant love and support.”
Some fans took to the comments section to accuse her of driving a wedge between Brooklyn and his family, which only fuelled the speculation further.
Neither David nor Victoria Beckham have publicly addressed the situation, while Brooklyn and Peltz have stayed mostly silent, aside from occasional social media activity that continues to generate speculation about the family feud.
