Nicki Minaj announced her pregnancy on Instagram on Monday morning with a bikini photoshoot and the hashtag #Preggers. She shared the news with her more than 118 million followers.
Her celebrity friends quickly weighed in on the unsurprisingly colorful maternity photoshoot.
Sam Smith, Lala, Tinashe, Juicy J and Halle Berry all congratulated her. MTV's official account joked: "This baby already has more lifetime achievements than I do."
Designers Oscar De La Renta and Christian Cowan also offered their congratulations.
She posted two photos in a row, one featuring her kneeling with a blonde wig on and another showcasing blue hair and an elaborate bikini, as well as her baby bump.
One commenter joked: "Your verse in 'MILF' is official now." The first photo received more than two million likes in 30 minutes.
Minaj has previously opened up about her husband Kenneth Petty, who she married in October after a year together.
She said: "I didn’t think it would be as refreshing and calming as it is. Even if you're not married, when you have someone that feels like your soulmate or someone who understands you, it just makes you feel like you’re on top of the world."
There were rumors in February of Minaj's pregnancy after she shared a video of Petty rubbing her stomach and saying: "Trinidad with your dad."
