Upper Newtownards Road reopened after emergency services attend blaze

Emergency services attended the scene of a fire in East Belfast today.

The Upper Newtownards Road has reopened following the incident, police say.

Motorists were advised that diversions are in place at the junctions with Sandown Road and North Road.

A PSNI spokesperson said at the time: "Please seek alternative routes."

Earlier, Translink said: "Due to a fire #Ballyhackamore area G1 services will divert via Holywood Road and Hawthornden Way - stops between Holywood Arches & Knock junction will be omitted.

"Metro 4C, D and E are diverted via Bloomfield Avenue, Grand Parade, Cregagh Road and Knock Carriageway."
