Devising the perfect Daily Fantasy Sports strategy for the NFL can be a challenge, which is why I'm here to assist.
On DraftKings, it's important to remember you're playing full-point PPR with bonuses if a player surpasses 300 passing yards, 100 rushing yards or 100 receiving yards.
Here is my optimal lineup for Thursday's NFL Showdown $2.25 million Thursday Night Millionaire contest featuring the Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns.
All prices listed are courtesy of DraftKings with a $50,000 budget, and you need at least one player from each team.
— Captain: WR Courtland Sutton, Broncos ($15,000)
Sutton leads all players in scoreless end-zone targets, deep targets (18) and total air yards (937) this season, according to Pro Football Focus. Cleveland also struggles mightily against the deep-ball.
— Flex: QB Case Keenum, Browns ($9,400)
There won't be a learning curve since Keenum has played most of his career in some form of head coach Kevin Stefanski's offensive system.
— Flex: WR Tim Patrick, Broncos ($7,600)
Patrick has at least five receptions, 89 yards or a touchdown in five of six games.
— Flex: RB Javonte Williams, Broncos ($7,000)
Only Najee Harris, Derrick Henry and Nick Chubb have more total forced missed tackles than Williams. It's a matter of time until he breaks a long score.
— Flex: WR Donovan Peoples-Jones ($6,400)
Cleveland will be missing much of its weaponry and DPJ has stepped up big time the last two games. He's a playmaker against a secondary that has allowed six touchdowns and 15.7 yards per reception to wide receivers this season.
— Flex: RB D'Ernest Johnson, Browns ($4,600)
With Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt sidelined, Johnson will likely share passing-game work with Demetric Felton, but monopolize all the other touches, including goal-line carries.
