Wait, how did this happen?!
After the Seahawks beat the Panthers and the Packers beat the Bears, here we are with the two teams on top of the NFC North.
Seattle’s lead looks safe, at least for Week 16. The Seahawks will host the Cardinals in Week 16, before hosting the 49ers in what could end up being the difference for homefield advantage or a bye week.
The Packers, meanwhile, travel to play the Vikings on Monday Night Football in Week 16. That’s a huge game for both teams. In Week 17, the Packers play the Lions in Detroit.
Wildcard matchups
No. 6 Vikings (10-4) at No. 3 Saints (11-3)
This would be a nightmare for the Vikings, but there are still two weeks to figure this all out.
The Vikings still need a win, or a Rams loss, to clinch a playoff spot. They also have an outside shot to win the NFC North if they win out and the Packers lose out.
New Orleans has a tough Week 15 matchup, facing off against the Titans in Tennessee on a short week.
No. 5 49ers (11-3) at No. 4 Cowboys (7-7)
The 49ers blew a game against the Falcons this week, which was a pretty costly loss. They’ll look to get back on track this week at home against the Rams before heading to Seattle for that ever-so-important Week 17 game.
What a mess the NFC East is.
The Cowboys travel to play the Eagles in Week 16. That game will pretty much decide the NFC East assuming both the Cowboys and Eagles win in Week 17 against the Redskins and Giants, respectively.
In the hunt
Rams (8-6)
The Rams are hoping for a miracle. If Los Angeles wins out against the 49ers and Cardinals, and if the Vikings fall to the Packers and Bears, the Rams will make the playoffs as a wild card team.
Eagles (7-7)
See above for the Cowboys section. If the Eagles can take down Dak and Co. at home, they are in the driver’s seat for the NFC East title.
