A NEWCASTLE woman has had a very memorable Australia Day long weekend, winning $5.4 million after taking a punt at a Hamilton hotel on Friday.
The woman was "completely stunned" after winning $5.4 million with a 10 Spot ticket on Keno Mega Millions purchased at the Kent Hotel on Friday.
The woman was still in disbelief, a Tabcorp statement said.
"I always play the same numbers but I wasn't watching the Keno screens when my numbers appeared," she said.
"Everyone in the venue was asking who it could be and when I checked my ticket one million things were going through my mind.
"It's an incredible prize. It's unbelievable."
While she is yet to decide what to do with her winnings, the now multi-millionaire said she would not be keeping it all to herself.
"I definitely want to help out lot of people," she said.
"I will be sharing my prize.
"But the rest, I need to just think about.
"It's a huge prize and I need to just let the news sink in."
