Newcastle United's final home game against Liverpool moved for TV, but may yet shift again

Newcastle United’s final home game of the season against Liverpool has been moved for TV.

The game has been moved from the Saturday to Sunday, May 5 with a 4.30pm kick off and Sky Sports will broadcast the fixture live.

But the Premier League has warned that the game could be moved again if the Reds are in the Champions League semi-final.

It was inevitable that the match would be moved with Liverpool still in the hunt for the Premier League title and it is another TV match for United. They have been shown as much as any team outside the top four this year , which should mean a bumper pay day at the end of the season.

There is sure to be some controversy on Merseyside as Manchester City play on the Saturday against Leicester in a move that might pile pressure on Jurgen Klopp’s side ahead of their game on Tyneside.
