Newcastle United legend Jonas Gutierrez shows love for 'Geordie Nation' with incredible tattoo

It has been five years since Jonas Gutierrez left Newcastle United - weeks after scoring the goal to help keep the Magpies' in the Premier League.

But the former Argentina international has proven his love for the Toon Army still burns strongly with his latest tattoo.

The 36-year-old took to social media on Monday to show off the incredible design on his right arm, complete with his famous Spiderman celebration.

Gutierrez posted several pictures of the complex design and explained it represented "something super special" by charting his lengthy playing career.

The winger arrived on Tyneside in the summer of 2008 following spells at Velez and Real Mallorca, and enjoyed seven years in black and white and a loan spell at Norwich City before departing.

Gutierrez went on to play for Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna, before returning to Argentina for spells with Independiente, two stints with Defensa y Justicia, and current club Banfield.

However, the 36-year-old reserved special thanks to the "Geordie Nation" who clearly still hold a very special place in his heart.

Gutierrez posted: "I want to share with you all my most recent tattoo.

"This represents something super special for me as it reminds me of all the places that I've had the pleasure of playing in.

"In particular where I spent seven glorious years where they called me Spiderman.

"Thanks for all the support and in particular the Geordie Nation."
