Prevailing fresh offshore winds for today and yesterday's pulse should stick around for the morning. Bigger early high tide will be suiting the reefs and shorebreaks before slowly dropping. Swell from the South at 1.5m decreasing to 1m. Wind out of the N/W to West. Plenty of variety at dawn with reefs at Cowrie, Bar Beach and Merewether. Banks at Cliff,South Bar and Newcastle Beach. Shorebreaks at Pogos during afternoon. Burwood, Dudley and Catho to the south. Samurai up at Port Stephens. Cooler current about with slight sweeps running to the north.
