Newborn baby put at risk as motorist drives car loaded up like this

A newborn baby was put at risk by a motorist who drove with a massive bit of board over both of their heads. The driver was fined and had points put on their licence.

Wiltshire police shared an image of the car's interior today on one of their twitter pages. They said the incident in Swindon was 'concerning'.

The tweet on the police's @WiltsSpecOps account said: "A driver in Swindon has been given a £100 fine and 3 points for using a motor vehicle when there is a Danger of Injury due to Position and Security of load.

"Even more concerning when it’s over the drivers head and the newborn baby in the back."

The incident was mentioned as part of a twitter feed with the hashtag #12HoursOnWiltshiresRoads which highlighted a number of incidents. They included a driver on the M4 getting a ticket for using his mobile phone while driving as he 'tried to pair his headphones to his phone".

Other incidents included finding a car that had come off the road, drivers not wearing seatbelts, and other motorists using their phones. A driver was also clocked speeding at 110mph on the M4.
