New Zealand building consents rise in February

(Reuters) - The number of new dwelling consents approved in New Zealand rose a seasonally adjusted 5.7 percent in February compared with 0.0 percent in the previous month, data from Statistics New Zealand showed on Thursday.

Excluding apartments, flats, and retirement village units, the number of consents for new houses was up 2.0 percent.

Building consents were 0.2 percent lower than the same month a year ago.
