New York Philharmonic Celebrates Leonard Bernstein With Star-Studded Performance.

Mariah Carey performs during New Year's eve celebrations in Times Square in New York City

The New York Philharmonic, under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin, recently paid tribute to Leonard Bernstein, the renowned composer and subject of Bradley Cooper's Oscar-nominated film 'Maestro.' The performance took place at Lincoln Center's David Geffen Hall and featured selections from Bernstein's iconic works, including 'West Side Story,' 'On the Town,' and his Symphony No. 2 and No. 3.

Notable attendees at the event included Carey Mulligan, who stars as Bernstein's wife, actress Felicia Montealegre, in the film. Mulligan also showcased her vocal talents by singing 'Façade – An Entertainment: Sir Beelzebub,' a musical number featured in the biopic. Other cast members from the movie, such as Mallory Portnoy, Nick Blaemire, Zachary Booth, and Kate Eastman, also performed for the Lincoln Center audience.

The evening was graced by the presence of various celebrities, including Anna Wintour, Spike Lee, Candice Bergen, and Sam Smith, among others. The event, held on Valentine's Day, was a fitting celebration of Bernstein's musical legacy and the cinematic portrayal of his life.

Following the performance in New York, Bradley Cooper and the film's team traveled to London for the BAFTA gala. The 2024 BAFTA Film Awards saw the attendance of stars like Margot Robbie, Emma Stone, Florence Pugh, and Emily Blunt, alongside Prince William.
