New York Fashion Week's Beauty Street Style Remains Elite

A five-part collage of women wearing jewelry and cool clothes at new york fashion week.

It's the best time of year if you're a beauty and fashion fan—New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026 is wrapping up and the streets have been awash with the city's most stylish attendees. And while it's incredible to see the upcoming season's looks on the runways, I'd argue that the best fashion show is on the streets themselves. The outfits are serving and the hair, makeup, and nails never disappoint. Would you expect anything less from the street style set?

So far the most popular hair trends of the week are overwhelmingly blunt bangs and lived-in curls and waves. That undone, messy texture—the type that suggests you just rolled out of bed before your morning meeting or 9am fashion show—is hotter than ever, and frankly, sexy as hell. Meanwhile, if you're still loyal to your flat iron, a set of bold, blunt bangs seems to be the season's preferred way to wear a fringe, and the contrast between the two styles proves there's a haircut and style for every beauty aesthetic.

As far makeup, rich fall lipstick shades in deep burgundy and cherry red suggest that nude lips are going to take a back seat next season, and I for one am here for the drama of a bold lip. Otherwise the glam has leaned quite natural with healthy, glowing skin taking center stage. Is it a robust skincare routine or a skin tint that disguises dark spots and blemishes so well you can't even tell someone is wearing complexion makeup? Who knows!? But it's a mystery I've been happy to uncover throughout the week.

Keep scrolling for some of the most swoon-worthy New York Fashion Week beauty street style looks.

The only thing I love more about this look than the cutie pie bow earrings is the flawless half-up half-down hairstyle.

Now this is a modern Renaissance woman! I'm so here for this little braid details at the front, especially with the rosy lip and cheeks. So so pretty.

Holy curls! This duo is serving serious hair envy and I need to go power up my curling iron immediately.

While this is likely makeup leftover from this model's recent show, the silver foil eyeshadow is all I'm going to be thinking about from now on. Gorgeous!

Aura nails have been one of the summer's hottest nail trends and according to this extremely chic show-goer, the look will continue into fall. I love the cranberry red shade mixed with her impressive ring stack.

Behold, the perfect messy shag haircut and live-in blonde highlights. I need this on my fall hair mood board immediately.

It's official—multi-strand braided ponytails are the hottest hairstyle among the fashion set.

The scrunchie craze continues and this oversized white gossamer style is definitely a winner. Paired with a sleek bun and high-shine hair, this is one low maintenance hair style I'll definitely be wearing for fall.

Not only are these blunt baby bangs right on trend but this carrot-red color is just sublime. Red hair may be a little more high maintenance to maintain the shade but when it looks this good, who cares?

A stunning pop of hot pink hair is just the energy I need to make it through the rest of New York Fashion Week.

Who doesn't love a structured curly bob? The lived-in black eyeliner is also exactly how I want to wear the grunge makeup trend this season.

More! Blunt! Bangs! The fringe style continues to dominate the street style set.

There's such a chic and casual ease about a half-up half-down hairstyle, I'm not surprised that it's popping up all over fashion week.

The platinum blonde, gelled bangs are so painfully chic and amplify the killer jewelry like a dream.

The triple braid look is coming back (Gabrielle Union wore the style over the summer while vacationing with her family) and I predict this style will continue to trend throughout the fall.

The classic French twist receives an update with this textured style on a seriously chic shower-goer. It is the perfect look to allow those drop dead gorgeous pearl earrings to shine.

The only thing better than a slick back bun and a middle part is wearing them with a bedazzled claw clip. I'm living for these pearl accents with the black and white outfit.

NYFW stalwart Chloe King makes the trendy flippy bob look so painfully stylish, I have no doubt the retro style will be everywhere once fall finally arrives.

Maximalist nail designs are the perfect way to amplify your look and test out multiple of the season's top nail trends simultaneously.

A millennial-coded side part looks even better with a bit of bed head texture.

The best way to compliment a fashion-forward ring stack? A flawless, barely-there pink manicure.

Voluminous natural curls are so stunning, particularly in a rich brunette shade with plenty of shine.

Dakota Johnson would be so proud of this blunt bang and extra long hairstyle. It's the perfect accessory to the black on black monochrome outfit.

A deep wine lipstick and an air of mystery underneath this bucket hat is the ideal combination for a come-hither look.

Blunt bangs get an upgrade with this delicious auburn hair color. It feels like the perfect time to experiment with red hair for fall.

Length, curls, attitude—everything you need for a stunning street style beauty moment.

Although long hair seems to be the favorite among the street style set so far, there have been plenty of cropped pixies and bobs throughout the week.

I've never seen a more stylish ponytail in my life. And with a frizz-free slick back style, it's absolute perfection.

Although square nails are threatening to dethrone the classic almond shape, NYFW is seeing plenty of the cult-classic look in stylish nude shades.

Blunt bangs and a braided ponytail? I need to recreate this look immediately.
