With the season of giving just around the corner, Japanese dessert cafe Kyo Roll En is launching two festive goodies that promise to uplift your holiday spirit with delicious surprises.
Available for a limited time only are Mochi Cookies and Melon Cake.
Both desserts are crafted by the cafe's master patissier with inspiration to offer a 2-in-1 tastebud thrill while welcoming the New Year with prosperity.
In Japan, Mochi, the soft and clingy sticky rice cake is always regarded as a ceremonial delicacy. It is now paired with Kyo Roll En's very unique soft-baked cookie recipes.
The chewy cookies with stretchy mochi filling come in four flavour options.
They include the original kinako mochi cookie with Kyoto soybean powder; yuzu miso mochi cookie with sweet citrus taste and an umami touch of fermented soybean paste; organic chocolate mochi cookie with mixed nuts; and matcha-white chocolate mochi cookie with Uji green tea and white chocolate topping.

Also offering two sweet sensations in one bite is the melon cake.
A fresh whole muskmelon, regarded in Japan as king of fruit, reveals inside its chilled juicy meat a delicately-made multi-layered cake.
The light and airy filler cake showcases an ambrosial and luscious unification of fresh melon, coconut, pandanous mousse, fresh cream and sweet golden yolk.
The melon cake is priced at 1,200 baht while the mochi cookies cost 75 baht per piece.
Buy four mochi cookies at 300 baht and get the fifth piece for free. A 12-piece set in a limited Christmas Box costs 680 baht.
The mochi cookies and melon cake are available at all Kyo Roll En shops and through the online channel Line at: @kyorollen or kyorollen.com/order.
