Work is well under way to build these waterfront apartments with "incredible panoramic views of the River Tyne".
The site on Bell Street, at the North Shields Fish Quay, will have 14 apartments with car parking spaces.
There will be a mixture of one and two-bedroom homes, all with balconies and open-plan accommodation.
The project, by developers Leadgate Developments, is expected to finish in the summer.
The plans originally included two commercial kiosks to the ground floor. However, a planning application has been submitted to remove these kiosks and replace them with additional car parking as well as installing locally-inspired art on the external walls.
Meanwhile, the apartments are up for sale through Cooke & Co .
The one-bedroom flats are up for grabs for £149,950 and £159,950, while buyers can expect to pay between £200,000 and £260,000 for the two-bed homes.
The estate agents say this is "arguably the best location on North Shields Fish Quay".
They add: "With incredible panoramic views of the River Tyne, from the river mouth and the sea beyond, to the Port of Tyne in the west, Waterfront Apartments is the perfect place to drop anchor."
The land at Bell Street was vacant for a number of years and had become an eyesore.
It was previously occupied by garages and a workshop which were later demolished.
Before that, it included housing and the Blue Bell Inn, which were thought to have been built during the 18th century. They were knocked down around 1930.
