New romantics Taylor Swift and Matty Healy 'set to play same Glastonbury stage'

Taylor Swift and Matty Healy may be in the throws of early romance passions but they could soon be performing on the same stage if Glastonbury organisers have their way.

The 33-year-old American pop star and the 34-year-old 1975 frontman have been snapped out and about across the USA holding hands and kissing on rooftops.

But they could soon end up sharing a stage, as well as saliva, as the organisers of the Glastonbury music festival want both of them to perform on the Pyramid stage.

While Glasto’s 2023 dates are just a little over a month away, fans will have to wait more than a year to learn if festival bosses manage to pull off their dream.

The Sun on Sunday claims a source told them: "US pop superstar Taylor and The 1975 are both wanted by festival head honcho Emily Eavis to perform on the Pyramid stage in 2024."

It is also suggested that "another female headliner" will also perform a headline set on the Pyramid stage.

While the mystery second headline performer is rumoured to be Madonna - who has not yet performed at Glastonbury and is kicking off a greatest hits tour this summer that is due to end next year.

Taylor and Matty stunned fans at the beginning of the month when news broke that they are embarking on a romance together - and just days after news broke that the US star had broken up with British actor Joe Alwyn.

If the pair manage to make their romance last more than a year, they would be bringing their romance to the fields of Somerset.

Meanwhile, the 2023 Glastonbury line-up came under fire this year as fans realised there were no female headliners announced.

Lana Del Ray - who is expected to perform earlier in the day on one of the festival days - even threatened to pull out of Glastonbury altogether as a backlash emerged against organisers.

It is believed a female headliner was due to perform but dropped out after their own summer tour schedule changed, with ageing rockers Guns N' Roses

Festival boss Emily has thrown off any sense of responsibility, however, and blamed the line-up on the attitudes of radio and record label bosses.

Defending the 2023 line-up to The Guardian, Emily pleaded: "We’re trying our best so the pipeline needs to be developed. This starts way back with the record companies, radio. I can shout as loud as I like but we need to get everyone on board."

She continued to say Glastonbury is "entirely focused on balancing [our] bill" in terms of gender but "every aspect of diversity".

As well as Guns N Roses, the festival will be headlined this year by Sir Elton John and Arctic Monkeys with the action taking place from June 21-25.
