Fans of piri piri chicken are in for a treat with the opening of a new Pepe’s restaurant in Bathgate.
Pepe’s is the leading Piri Piri chicken franchise in the UK with over 140 franchised stores nationwide.
Bosses said it will open its doors at George Place in the coming weeks once construction of the store in complete.
In the Annual Industry Eating Out Report, Pepe’s was ranked number five in the UK Top 10 fast food brands by outlets. The only UK fast food brands ahead of Pepe’s are McDonalds, KFC, Burger King and Pret A Manger and Pepe’s is the number one Piri Piri fast food brand by number of outlets.
A spokesperson said: “Almost overnight, Pepe’s Piri Piri chicken became the talk of the town.
“Our customers love the taste of our grilled to order chicken, startlingly fresh and flavorful, that brought them back again and again.
“They told their friends, who told others, and soon there were lines out the door. Families loved it. Kids loved it. Foodies loved it. Even vegetarians loved it. Yes, there’s a vegetarian menu!”
