New Jersey wide receiver commits to Penn State for Class of 2018

Penn State earned the commitment of a recruit Saturday, but this one was for the Class of 2018.

A 6-foot-4, 210-pound wide receiver out of Monmouth Junction, N.J., and South Brunswick high school, Justin Shorter is the third commit in his class for the Nittany Lions. The four-star recruit chose Penn State in lieu of offers from schools such as Rutgers and Virginia Tech.

"After visiting the campus, amazing facilities, great coaches, top-notch academic programs and hearing about the unrivaled fans, I feel a very strong connection with Penn State and how they want everyone to succeed on and off the field," Shorter said. "I know this is a place where I will succeed."
