Growing online takeaway business Foodhub has moved into a bigger head office as part of plans to expand its Stoke-on-Trent operation.
The Fenton company – which rivals Just Eat, Deliveroo and Uber Eats – has moved a few hundred yards down the road to a larger building on Duke Street.
It comes after the firm saw orders surge by more than 25 per cent – to 34.4 million – in 2021.
Now up to 25 jobs are set to be created at the new headquarters.
Deon Moodey, Foodhub's chief technology officer, said: "We are trying to scale up the business here and have a tech centre in Stoke-on-Trent.
"We are looking for about 20 to 25 more technologists locally. We are looking for programmers, software engineers, testers and product analysts."
Foodhub was started by Stoke-on-Trent school friends Ardian Mula and Mohammed Shakil in 2017.
Today, the company turns over more than £30 million a year and has more than 28,000 restaurant, takeaway and pub partners across the UK, US, Australia, Mexico and Guatemala.
It boasts a 1,100–strong workforce which includes around 50 Potteries-based employees.
Foodhub's new HQ – which also has a software development centre – will now be the official base for call centre staff and those specialising in marketing and finance.
Global operations director Neil Sturrock added: "It's the nerve centre of our business."
